Well it is Oregon's turn at #1 on my prestigious poll.
I hate dropping Ohio State too far after 1 loss because one quirk of college polls is the "WHEN you lose" factor. If Ohio State had lost in week 2, they would probably be higher than their current AP position of 7th. Basically if you are going to lose 1 game you need to lose to a decent team and do it early. Lose late and you fall behind the other 1 loss teams that lost early.
Now it is late enough that even a win over Michigan likely won't vault them up any poll spots unless someone else loses this week.
I'm not exactly an Ohio State apologist, I just hate a system that awards a national champion based on polls because they are inaccurate, unfair and it is unfathomable to me that in 2007 we are using this antiquated method of crowning a champ.
